At Faaroa Middle School, dedicated students are preparing their report for the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco's “Oceanology for All” competition . This adventure was launched by biology teacher Olivier Bourget , who fully intends to lead them to the podium once again.
Third time's the charm seems to be the motto of Olivier Bourget, a biology teacher at Faaroa Middle School in Raiatea. Since his appointment in 2024, he hasn't missed a single opportunity to take his students into the field as part of their participation in the Oceanographic Institute of Monaco's “Oceanology for All” competition. Previous editions, focusing on the themes of “land-sea” and “marine pollution, solutions on land,” had already resonated strongly in Polynesia. This year, the project explores “the ocean barrier and its evolution.”
