The Tree Kangaroo Conservation Programme (TKCP) celebrated its 30th anniversary in Lae last week. The organisation formed in 1996 when Dr Lisa Dabek, a conservation biologists from the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle, Washington, United States, travelled to Papua New Guinea to study tree kangaroos.
