Senior Officials from Pacific Islands Forum member countries and legal experts from across the Pacific gathered this week at the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Secretariat for a Workshop on Treaty Law and Practice in the Pacific, marking the first time a treaty law workshop organised by the United Nations Office of Legal Affairs Treaty Section has been held in the region.
The three-day workshop, held from 11–13 March, brought together officials from Ministries of Foreign Affairs and other government agencies, as well as representatives from the judicial and legislative branches of Forum member governments.
